Campilungo società agricola srl became the owner of the small farm of Villa di Campolungo in 2005 and, year after year, it has restored the old olive orchard of about 1500 trees, also entering the circuit of certified biological farms.
The owners are an Italian-Norwegian family, currently producing high quality extra-virgin olive oil with genuine passion.
The olive orchard is located 320 metres above the sea level, at an altitude that generally raises no issues in terms of diseases or pest attacks against olives.
In November, when they are at their peak, olives are brought to the olive-press within 8 hours from harvesting.
The obtained oil has a very low acidity, because olives did not have time to ferment and, thus, to acidify. The peroxide content is at its lowest as well.Low acidity and low peroxide content are the best indicators of an optimal preservability of oil, that can thus maintain its fundamental organoleptic properties, such as that of being a useful antioxidant, in the long term.
Extra-virgin olive oil is sold within the farm and sent to the entire world, upon request.
Extra-virgin olive oil is a raw material for a delicate handmade soap. The soap includes 60% olive oil from the farm and other natural ingredients. It contains no parabens, chemical or oil-based substances.
It is manufactured in two versions: lavender, with pure essential lavender oil with anti-bacterial and disinfecting properties, and rose, with extract of dog rose and shea butter, with moisturizing and softening properties.
